Plucky Penguin

Plucky Penguin is a single player game where you travel through seven levels trying to attain the highest score without losing your lives. Each level has an increasing number of objects and you try to stay alive with your three lives. Plucky Penguin is a fun game, but doesn't have very much variety. In this review I will try to tell you the good and the bad of Plucky Penguin. In this next section I will discuss the graphics, which is not an important, but a necessary section to discuss.

Plucky Penguin doesn't have great, but adequate graphics. The objects look good and the game is presented as a side scroller, but your penguin isn't very big and not very well animated. With game like Hurricane and Space Hunter out, Plucky Penguin doesn't fare well in comparison with those games. Every new level looks the same and makes the game very repetitive and if the game wasn't fun, this would hurt the game a lot. Even though every level looks the same, the backgrounds look pretty good with the water and the boats and objects in the background. The next section will discuss gameplay, which is the most important section to discuss in any video game.

Plucky Penguin has pretty good gameplay. The game feels fluid and controls well, but is missing some very important features. Plucky Penguin would have greatly benefited from an option to destroy your enemy so you're not left always trying to dodge objects. Also, the game would have been great with a multi player, so you and your friend can compete in a fun, side scroller. Plucky Penguin does have good gameplay, but it needed a couple of more things to reach greatness and to be put in that upper echelon of Cybiko games. The next section will talk about single player, which decides how long you are willing to play the game, or how long it will take to delete the game.

The game would have been great with a multi player, but is average with just a single player. Plucky Penguin is a very fun game, but with its missing features ends up average. Plucky Penguin could have been much funner, but in the end, turns out pretty average. The fun of Plucky Penguin wears out pretty quick and I think you will agree after playing this game. I'm not going to go into detail with this section, but I will just tell you the fun factor in Plucky Penguin is average. Finally, I will sum the game up and give my overall score.

Plucky Penguin starts out fun, but ends up pretty average and eventually becomes tedious and repetitive. With the space it takes up, over 60 kb, I can't recommend you downloading this game. Plucky Penguin is an average side-scrolling affair.
