Highway Hitman

In Highway Hitman you control a car that has a gun on the roof. The object of the game is to destroy as many cars as possible without getting pushed off the road, or colliding in to them. Highway Hitman might now have the best story line, or presentation, but is a fun game that should keep you playing for minutes, hours, or days depending on your skill and attention span. The next section will discuss the graphics, which is not an important part of a game, but the graphics show how much time and effort was put into a game.

The graphics in Highway Hitman are excellent for a game using a top down view. The cars are very well animated and big, which makes the game look excellent. Your ammo is well animated and when the other cars, or your car explode it looks pretty good. The backgrounds are very well animated and for a game using a top down view, not very much could be improved. There is pretty good variety in the cars that appear on the road and each car looks pretty good. The only thing I think could be improved in High way Hitman is the variety in the backgrounds, the same shrubs appear all the time and I think this could have made the game look a little better. The part of the graphics that might look the best is when you first turn on the game it appears in 3d and you can see a city in the background, if the game could have looked that good throughout the game, it would be the best looking game for Cybiko. The graphics are an important section to discuss, but the most important section is the gameplay, it tells whether the game is worth playing, or just a waste of space on your Cybiko, and that is the section I will discuss next.

The gameplay in Highway Hitman is excellent, like every other part of the game. The controls are spot on and it shoots in the exact direction and when you make it turn, it's very responsive. There are only two buttons you need to use, enter to shoot and the d-pad to move. The only part of the gameplay that is suspect to improvement is one button that should have and could have been added and that is another button. The button I think could have been added is an option to shoot a missle so you can destroy your enemy easily. The gameplay in Highway Hitman is great, but is not perfect and after reading this section I think you will agree with me when I say the gameplay of a game can make or break the game. The next section will discuss the single player, which decides whether or not you will keep a game on your Cybiko for a long period of time, or you will delete it right away.

Highway Hitman has a good and enjoyable single player. Highway Hitman never feels tedious, or repetitive, because of the variety in cars and the increasing difficulty in all of the ten levels. I don't think Highway Hitman could've benefited from a multi player mode, but a part of the game that could have been added is a rally mode, so you can crash your cars. Another cool section that would've been great in Highway Hitman is every time you hit a car you earn money, and use that money to customize and increase stats on your car, this section would have increased the replay value and made the game more enjoyable. Highway Hitman's single player is excellent, but like most Cybiko games not without its share of problems and things that could've been added. In the next section I will discuss the fun factor.

Highway Hitman is very fun. I won't discuss the things that could have been added to make this game more enjoyable, as you can read about those in the other sections. The game has excellent graphics, gameplay, single player and is an un-repetitive and enjoyable game. Finally, I will sum the game up and give my overall score.

I would recommend Highway Hitman to anyone and everyone that owns a Cybiko. Get Highway Hitman and be prepared to get hooked for many hours to come. Highway Hitman is as close to perfect as a Cybiko game has come so far, as of January 23, 2001 and a game that disserves its rightful place in your library of Cybiko games. You should download this game and it will give you a feeling that you never wasted time, nor space by downloading and playing this game.
