Space Hunter

Space Hunter will bring fond memories to fans of the original Space Harrier, as it is a remake except with a ship instead of a human. Before, I said Death from Above was the best air combat game for Cybiko, but after playing Space Hunter I think you will agree that this is the best. Space Hunter is four levels of enjoyable, unrepetitive fun. In this review I will tell you why Space Hunter is a game I highly recommend. In this next section I will discuss the graphics, which are not necessarily an important part in a game, but a part that is necessary to discuss.

Space Hunter has excellent graphics, some can argue that it has the best graphics of any Cybiko game, and I tend to agree. The game is full 3d and everything is well animated. Your and the enemies craft or ship are very well animated and big, which gives the game very good detail. Your and the enemies ammo as well as the objects look very good and give the game an overall detailed and polished feel. Your ship has a shadow and the background is very well detailed, with an animated moon and space. If I were to rate Space Hunter on graphics alone it would be a perfect game. This next section will discuss the most important part in a game gameplay, which tells whether it is overall very polished and fluid, or a game that disserves a place in the trash.

Space Hunter has excellent gameplay. You can shoot and move, which seems like very little, but is just right. You can make a case that a missle should have been added, but you can destroy the enemies with your regular gun so it really isn’t needed. The control is very fluid, unlike most air combat games, which feel very stiff and difficult. The only part of the gameplay that could be improved is the vision. When I say vision, I mean it is way too hard to hit your enemy and you always lose lives by crashing in to your enemy on accident. The collision detection in Space Hunter is great though and your Cybiko rumbles at the perfect time. Thanks to the amazing gameplay, Space Hunter is very fun and an excellent game. Now, I will discuss the single player.

Space Hunter has a very fun single player. The game never feels tedious or repetitive and should keep you hooked for hours. Since Space Hunter is in 3d the game could’ve and should’ve had a multi player mode, so you can enjoy this great game with a buddy of yours. I think you will enjoy the single player mode and will keep this game on your Cybiko for a very long time. Now I will talk about the fun factor, which is another excellent part of the game.

Space Hunter is a very fun. Thanks to the un-repetitive gameplay and excellent graphics the game has an enjoyable game and has high marks in the fun factor. I won’t try to stretch this section any longer than it needs to be and will just tell you this game is flat out fun. Now I will give my overall score and sum the game up.

Space Hunter is great in all areas and never gets boring. It’s a fun game and well rounded in all areas and a game I would highly recommend. Space Harrier and all Cybiko owners will love this game. Cybiko disserves credit for making a fun and excellent game and should keep up the good work. Download this game and you will keep it for a long time. You won’t regret getting this game and it disserves its rightful place in your library of Cybiko games.
