On the Point

On the Point is a game where you take control of a speedboat and you race through 5 levels with a limited amount of health and no continues. This game can be categorized as fun, but beware, this game is very hard. I would recommend getting this game, but remember it is very hard. Graphics is not an important part of a game, but it really shows how much time was put into the game, and that is the section I will discuss next.

On the Point has good graphics. The game has a top down view and your boat is big and very well animated. The grenades and your machine gun are very well animated and look very good. I have nothing to complain about in the graphics department and if you download or have this game I think you will agree. The cut scenes look very good and I think you will be surprisingly pleased at the way this game is presented and looks. Now on to the most important part in a game, gameplay.

On the Point's gameplay is good, but isn't without its bad parts. The game has a button to shoot regular ammo and grenades and you use your d pad to move. This game could have benefited from a power boost button so you can run away from enemy boats. The reason the run option would be good is it would make the difficult a little lower, which is very good and you will agree after playing the game. The fun factor tells whether or not you will keep the game.

The fun factor in this game can be high or low depending on how you like your games. If you like having difficult games that will take a while to beat then On the Point will be very enjoyable for you. I think the game is way too hard, but maybe some of you will think of it as a breathe of fresh air. The way the game is presented is good, you are a part of the Mafia and you try to get away on a speedboat. This game may sound very cheesy, but I thought it was cool. Now I will talk about the single player mode.

Like I discussed in the fun factor the difficulty really decreases the enjoyability and I think the game could've benefited from a difficulty option. The single player mode is okay, but I wish the game had a multi player so at least having two players would let you have a friend share the embarrassing moment of losing over and over again. Finally, I will conclude the game and give my overall score.

The game has good graphics and pretty good gameplay, but is way too hard. I hated to decrease a games score just because of its difficulty, but I think after playing this game you will understand. The presentation is very good, but the game is not without it's flaws. You should download this game, but take into account what I said in this review.
