Blazing Boards

Blazing Boards will blow you away from the second you turn it on, and it hasn't ceased to amaze me yet.  Cybiko did an excellent job of combining great gameplay and graphix.  The incredible result was Blazing Boards.  I haven't talked to anyone yet that doesn't like the game, which says something.  It must stretch the Cybiko's gaming capabilities to their maximum, because it is a top-notch game.

As I said before, the gameplay in Blazing Boards is great.  You hold enter to crouch on your board and gain speed, then release to jump.  All the d-pad and main keys (del, ins, tab, select, and enter) are used for various tricks.  There are 35 moves in all, which is incredible.  Even though there is only one level, there are so many tricks you have to choose from it never gets old.  You could compare this game to THPS, because of all the tricks.  I think everyone will agree with me, that the gameplay in Blazing Boards surpasses all other games for Cybiko.

Blazing Boards has incredible graphix, and I didn't even think that the Cybiko gaming system could handle something like this.  Your character, the skater looks great, as well as all jumps and grind poles.  There are two walls to the sides of you, and they look good.  The only thing that could look better would be if they could put some graffiti, of maybe skating posters on them.  In your foreground, you can always see a city, it looks like maybe Chicago or New York.  All the tricks are animated well, and the body movement of the skater is fluid and solid as well.  Great graphix in the game, just like the gameplay, I think Blazing Boards graphics surpass every other Cybiko game available.

The game doesn't get old, and I don't think it will for a long time.  This says a whole lot about the game, since most Cybiko games get monotonous after about a week.  It is extremely fun, and some of the tricks actually present a challenge.  There is also a game within the game, to find out all the 35 tricks available in the game.  Cybiko did a great job with the game, and boosted it's popularity even more by making a Blazing Boards contest.  I've had more fun with Blazing Boards than about any other Cybiko game so far, even more than Asteroids.  That says a whole lot, believe me.

In conclusion, awesome job Cybiko, I applaud you.  People have been begging for a skateboarding game on the Cyboard since I can remember, and it's great that Cybiko finally created a game.  Not only that, they created a superior game.  It gets two thumbs up from me, and I think that you will find the same conclusion.

Overall Score- 10/10
